Job Description Job Description The Janitor will clean and maintain office, plant and warehouse common areas within our two facilities. Duties/Responsibilities: * Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the assigned areas of the buildings. * Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures, Safe Quality Food (SQF) compliance. * Wipe down all surfaces , different types of containers. * Cleans, dusts and vacuum windows, window frames. * Performs high dusting in the production area and in various areas throughout the plant. * Vacuums, sweeps and mops all hard surfaces of the production perimeter. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: * Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions. * Detail-oriented and thorough. * Ability to keep areas clean and orderly. * Ability to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written using basic communication skills. * Ability to interact with staff while remaining professional, polite, and courteous. Education and Experience: * 2 or more years experience working in the food industry (preferred). * Must pass a background check and drug test. Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods standing. * Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds at a time. SALARY: Competitive salary and bonus.
